NCD error

I received an email and then a letter from Hastings Car Insurance to tell me they had calculated my NCD incorrectly and were offering me £61 in compensation for over payments. I called them to check it out and they informed me that they miscalculated me from 2015 so I have 3 years where they had me down as one year less than I was. I had moved insurance companies in 2017 so now they also have the incorrect information.

How do I figure out if £61 is a reasonable number in terms of reimbursement?

My next step is to contact my current insurer and give them my new confirmed NCD confirmation from Hastings. I should expect a slight change in payments?

    Possibly. Possibly not.

Each year doesn't necessarily make a difference, as discounts may go in tranches.

I would also ask for this to be moved to the insurance boards.
