He paid presumably paid DCBL £2677 which is being refunded by SRS. What is going to happen to the money which DCBL are holding. Will they deduct their fees and return the balance to SRS?
And what about his poor mum, whose car was unlawfully clamped, was she compensated in any way.
I guess the judge was clever making VCS pay.
DCBL will be owed their add ons

Not clever, DCBL are VCS agents, so of course VCS have to pay
Did the D get their set aside fee back as well?0 -

Unfortunately not, it was his choice to ignore all the original court papers and default judgment, and all of these shenanigans could have been avoided had he not listened to 'the bloke in the pub'.
I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.0 -
True enough, I just thought the judge was so clearly incensed there may have been scope for the set aside - after all they had no claim to begin with. However, still very very well done
I wonder if there is scope for the mum to claim?0 -
Another VCS loss. This time with the "assistance" of Elms Legal whose idiot of a rep even asked for costs when they had lost:-
