Yesterday felt spendy. All within budget, but was just 2 meals out to celebrate other's events that made it so spendy all in one go! People need to spread out their leaving lunches and birthdays better! ;)

We had a colleague leaving, so all went to lunch, which was expensive. The others were card buying and a meal out with a friend for his birthday.

This weekend I'm planning on not spending at all. I do need to go shopping this evening to make sure I have food in for the weekend (which I will also Shop & Scan) and that's it really. I also need oil for my car and screen wash. I've not managed my finances too well this month, but that's because I couldn't resist a "bargain"! :o

I'm on a training course for 3 days next week, so need to make sure I bring food with me as they don't provide lunch. I don't want to be at the mercy of London food prices anymore, plus my budget left for the month is very low. I've booked the exam (even though they state you can't book the exam until you've completed the course). They make you wait at least 10 days for the exam so I wanted to book it for as soon after the course as possible. It's only a foundation type of course and should be easy to pass, but I just want it all done and sorted asap.

So it looks like I may put my going out budget into my grocery budget and stay home in the evenings. I have work to do on my new venture, so there's every reason why I should be doing that.

Happy Friday everyone. Have a great day and a fab weekend.

Tink and I have become real life friends (we've even met up when she and her daughter came to visit!!! :T) and she educated me in the wonders of traveller notebooks. Initially I wasn't keen, but the more pages I was ripping out of my journal the more it made sense, as my traveller notebook is a ring binder. So my journal now contains my general yearly objectives that I can keep at home and update regularly, and my traveller notebook I get to carry around with me as it has the more short term details in there.

And a lovely weekend it was too!! We mustn't leave it so long next time, I am specifically going to set up a little savings pots for trips. Thank you for taking the time to show us round, we both loved it so much. It's a good job it was all budgeted for :j

    Take care.

Hello AC. Thanks for dropping by. I have a new diary now, which I'll add a link after this post.

It is far too hot for me at the moment. Going from the Beast from the East to this is just too much! :rotfl:

I've decided not to move for now, but have taken your advice and ordered a mattress topper for my hard mattress. A friend of mine works for a large store that do wonderful mattresses and toppers so I managed to get a massive discount. He leaves there soon so I had to make the most of the discount.

I'll be catching up on your diary imminently as I'm looking forward to all of your updates.
