Ebay - Fake Seller Locations

This seems to be very common on Ebay now..
If you search for an item you can use a UK Only filter so all items should be within our shores. However, seller's in China for example are aware of this and list themselves as within the UK.
I've been seeing this numerous times recently. When you look into the company a bit more you can see their real address. I've seen many where it says London or Liverpool and then I've dug deeper and it says China.
The reason I like to buy within the UK is because you can be waiting for 3-4 weeks for items from so far away as they send them by incredibly slow post

Go to the bottom of the page and see the business address is China. The 1-3 days delivery won't happen but you've already paid by the time you realise it should have arrived by now
I've reported a few but there must be thousands

eBay has always been pretty disinterested when I've reported these sellers.0

Isn't feedback a clue? They seem to have good
I've ordered items with a UK stock location and China Biz address with the item coming within the week.
I wouldn't order non UK as too slow0 -

Some sellers have warehouses within the UK ready to send the items. If the item is due on 19th *which it was when I viewed it at 22.23pm on 17th - then I can only suggest it is in a UK warehouse.0 -
As theonlywayisup says Chinese sellers do keep stock in the UK. I've ordered a few items like this and they have always come from the UK location as stated.Go to the bottom of the page and see the business address is China. You can't just assume they won't deliver in 1-3 days just because the seller is located in China, it's the items location that matters.
So your just wasting everyone's time by reporting them unfairly.0 -
The seller location is the country in which they reside, stock does not have to be in the same country.
The seller linked to in the first post has the official ebay fast and free logo, which means they comply with delivery times. Delivery as at today shows "FAST & FREE
Between Fri. 20 Jul. and Sat. 21 Jul."
terms of sale say "We will dispatch items within 1-3 working day after receiving cleared payment ,and You will receive it in 2-5 working days."
Seller also has the premium badge which means that their statistics meet the ebay guidance for delivery times and if that's not enough for you their dispatch time star is 4.9%.
I honestly cannot see what you mean by this being a poor seller with slow postage, have you linked to the right seller OP? It really pays to understand what you need to look at on an ebay listing, the only way to understand what you are buying and when it is likely to be delivered is by using the information freely given on ebay.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Weeds out a lot of very good Uk sellers as well who have disabled click and collect due to buyers not bothering to go and get things from Argos. My business account has click and collect disabled and if you look at the ebay board ( see my sig) you will find other sellers also prefer to disable it.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I spend the summer in my caravan with only occasional trips home. If it isn't click and collect I almost certainly can't buy it unless it goes through my letterbox. Royal Mail hold stuff 19 days so they are OK but I couldn't buy stuff sent via courier.
I've bought from obvious fake UK sellers when they've offered about a week delivery. They've made that too even when shipped from overseas. I had a leather jacket made to a size variation that arrived from Pakistan in a week. If they offer a quick delivery and it doesn't arrive on time (allowing a few days obviously) file a didn't arrive claim - eBay will pay you back.0
