01246 488603/9 Whack a Mole Syndrome

Beware these cold callers ("home maintenance").

They kept ringing from 01246 488609 so I blocked that number but hey presto now they have appeared on 01246 488603:mad::mad::mad:

Lots of comments on 'who called me':

Most seem to be about utilities.

That's why I like my TruCall box, it's easy to block a range of numbers.

If I don't recognise a number on my landline, I don't answer it.
If someone really, really wants to contact me they'll leave a message on my answerphone.

If it's my mobile, I ignore it completely.
Very few people know my number and the only ones who do are in my contacts list.

I have my BT Call Guardian (a form of TrueCall) set to "announce" numbers not in my Contacts list or not previously accepted. That weeds out almost all cold callers (who use a valid caller ID).

I came on here to say exactly that and thought "Oh, I've already commented":rotfl:
