Car Hire Excess Insurance

Hi all,

I was hoping someone can help with the excess insurance question.
This August my girlfriend and I are going to France and I wanted to hire a luxury car for a few days.
Excess for this type of cars is normally €10k.
I have an annual insurance from iCarinsurance, but it covers only £6k max (less than €7k).
Tried to google other companies, and they either cover £6-7k excess or don't cover expensive cars (>£50k).
Does anyone know if it's possible to get full excess insurance in this case?
Or will I be able to use a second insurance from another insurance company? Obviously I'm not going to claim more than I have to pay in case of a car accident so it shouldn't be treated as Insurance Fraud?

    Do you mean claim twice?
    No you cannot do that.
I would be a very bad idea to have 2 policies.
They will argue with each other about who pays what until the cows come home. 50/50 would seem obvious but they both have to agree on the total.

Does the hire car company not offer an insurance to reduce the excess?

The only option they offer is to decrease the excess to EUR 5,000 for EUR 200.
Third party insurance would cost only around £10.

I don't think it's correct to say that I'm going to claim twice.
I would claim 50/50 from two separate insurance companies if allowed.
