The co-op obviously. Although it has strayed from its cooperative roots, it still tries.

Don't be silly. The Co-Op Bank is probably the most middle class bank out there. It's precisely where the real Swampy, a middle class tree hugger if ever there was one would have his account. :)

P.S. It hasn't strayed from "its cooperative roots". It's dug 'em up and burned 'em.

    Socialist Worker is an oxymoron.

Probably a typical case of using a word or phrase without understanding the meaning of it. Another classic case might be "Fascism".

I fail to understand why Socialist Worker is Oxymoron(ic).

    Now you're talking.

Some research on this power-to-da-ppl organisation reveals the former Chairman is all over working class pursuits like phone sex chat lines and a line or two of ket.

All that and he was a Labour councillor and church minister. Perfick!

Let's hear it for the Crystal Methodist.

The old TSB was formed by an amalgamation of the former savings banks, which were very much aimed at the working classes. The present day TSB boasts of this heritage, but is no different to any of the other banks.

    Socialist Worker is an oxymoron.

Arguably it is also a typo.

Looks like yet another term bandied about without knowing what it is: According to Marx, Engels et al Socialism is the first stage in the rule of the Proletariat which culminates in Communism. Yup I studied Sociology at university albeit a long time ago. It's worth noting that the term "Socialism" is generally accepted as fact to be taught to students. It's amazing what you learn on M.S.E. forums isn't it.
