Hi all
Long story short a couple of years ago i got a CCJ from bryan carter solicitors for a capital one credit card,
So trying to clean up my act I want to get a CCJ satisfied on my credit report its basically the last thing left it is a captial one credit card debt its no longer on there as i paid it off
i tried to get in contact with the court who said get in contact with bryan carter who brought the ccj claim or capital one i cant get in contact with bryan carter as they appear to have been struck off and capital one don't recognize the debt, I tried communicating with Lowells who are apparently what bryan carter became but again they had no idea about this account either.
So i have a CCJ that i cant satisfy and no one wants to own.
what on earth should i do i was half thinking of applying to have it struck off?

I think if what is being said is 100% true, there *could* be genuine hope of it being voided from your credit file. If no one is acknowledging it, how can it exist? And if it doesn't exist, how can it be left on your credit file?
You should dispute it on your credit file with a CRA. Provide evidence of the linked parties denying the CCJ and if that doesn't work, escalate with the ICO.
I could be completely wrong with this advice, as I am gathering this from snippets of background knowledge, so I hope that someone else can contribute more accurate information if they have it.Advice provided from this account does not consist of any professional knowledge. Sorry, the ONLY way a CCJ can be removed is if any of the following apply :
The judgement was satisfied within 30 days of been issued.
You do not owe the money or there was some other procedural error, or the debt is not yours, and you successfully obtain a setaside .
Or you are made insolvent.
Thats it, if you want to challenge it, you must apply for a setaside.
You are the debtor, bryan carter solicitors are now a part of the Lowell group and have changed their name.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Cheers for the responses its a weird situation for sure I have directly spoken to Lowells on more than one occasion both their debt and legal teams and they simply have no record of this account and it was definitely with Bryan Carter I have documentation and payment history that confirms it, I seem to have slipped through the cracks somehow I think I will just take a stab at having it set aside pretty much out of options otherwise.
* someone also suggested I try Fredrickson international where some accounts went from Bryan carter but they also had no record of this debt.0
