I put in a miss sold claim to nat west in relation to loans i had in the early to mid nineties. 5 loans in total. I have a list of loans they provided me when i put in a SAR request with the amount of PPI i paid for each loan ranging from £45 to £1597.
Today i received 5 letters saying my claims had been upheld for all 5. My problem is the amounts they have based there offers on are not the same as the amounts quoted on the list they gave me. One is over the list amount and 4 are under. Also When i calculate the 8% annually for each ppi the figures dont quite add up. Is it possible they may of been offering me a lesser amount which i have to sign for and waiver any future claim for more.
The payments total just over £5500 but my figures estimate nearer £10k
Do i just sign the offers and take the cash or phone them to get a re-calculate

Ask them for a breakdown of the refunds and to explain their calculations0

Thanks for the reply. I will give them a call. Some of the figures mention that they are part of a consolidated loan chain which makes calculating more difficult0

When you consolidate loans with PPI you get a rebate of the PPI from each loan so you only repay the remaining PPI back each time on the next, and so on for each loan.
This is one of the reasons where the amount could be less than you thought. You could have repaid loans early and would have been given a rebate for the remaining PPI, all the rebates will be taken off the final redress.
Ask for a breakdown and it should show you.0
