Everything I have read about the energy ombudsman is in accordance with the previous post. They are simply there as a sop to make us think the system is fair when in reality, they are the energy companies' b!tc#, designedly so. I have found the only way is to deal with my provider directly and just refuse to give up until they either play ball or we reach a compromise I find acceptable.

The threat of the Ombudsman is far worse for them, in my experience, than the fact of him/her/it. Once you have shot that bolt and complained to the EO, you have left the provider no incentive to resolve your complaint in a timely fashion nor to cooperate as their stats are already compromised, if you see what I mean.

I wish I read this three months ago - but to be fair to DD she only escalated to ombudsman it as a last resort when EON had refused to do anything else on her complaint
I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine

Sounds as if she has exhausted the Eon complaint process , perhaps if you can enlighten us with the complaint details, we can at least offer some interim advice?
Be happy, it's the greatest wealth :)

Welshmoneylover thank you for your interest but I suspect we are so far beyond that point. I did provide a link earlier, but maybe we should just let this thread die as I asked for advice, got good advice and had a bit of a moan. What else is the internet for.
