Hi I am looking for some advise if possible.
I am getting a lot of grit coming from my shower. It builds up in the head very quickly. The head is one that you can take apart so easy enough to do however if I leave the head apart and then on the shower I just see loads of grit flowing out with the water. The hose and the head have been changed fairly recently but this is a problem that's been around since before then.
I can run every other tap in the house and I don't get any grit but for some reason I do from the shower.
Is it an issue with the shower itself?

Very curious. When you say grit what do you mean? Tiny pieces of mineral rock, different colours? Or tiny white (or off white) pieces that may be the result of hard water drying? Try catching some on a tissue or a paper coffee filter to have a good look.
Also, what sort of heating system do you have - hot water on demand or do you have a hot water tank and a big cold water storage tank in the loft?
If it is actual grit than I would suspect a tank in the loft. Or maybe your cold water pipe is damaged and is letting in grit. Do you have a water meter - does it show a flow even when you're not running water? Mine has a little rotary dial that spins even when a low amount is flowing.
The fact that you're not seeing it elsewhere is maybe down to a filter being present in the other taps.0
