And NCP in fact, usually fold and offer no contest to a long POPLA appeal anyway!
Thanks Coupon-mad - that's great. I'll try and forget about it for a bit! Hoping of course it won't go any further but trying to prepare and think ahead just in case.0 -
One last quick question to check please - I'm just uploading the appeal and have got to the end when there is a box for 'please explain your reasons for appealing the parking ticket' (the 2000 character limit). As I've got a large PDF to attach is it ok just to say 'please see my appeal attached as a pdf for assessment' ? Thank you0

Yes it is. See the guide at: https://parking-prankster.blogspot.com/2015/09/new-popla-process.html0 -

Thanks for the super quick reply and the link. That's really helpful. So if I have several appeal points, including one about signage but nothing relevant to the other categories, should I tick 'other' in the 'I was not improperly parked' box too as well as the 'other' category at the end? Thanks0 -
If NCP decide to contest this, you will only have seven days to rebut their evidence pack.
Hopefully though they will cave in and tell PoPLA they do not want to pursue this.
Your appeal looks good to me and hopefully NCP will realise they have no chance of winning. The decision is not binding on the motorist anyway.
Please do complain to your MP about this unregulated scam, and the MP where the alleged event occurred if different. Having a PoPLA win under your belt will give it more clout as you will be able to say they had no reason to issue the PCN in the first place, but complain anyway.I married my cousin. Just to update - I've heard from POPLA that my appeal has been successful as NCP has said that they don't wish to contest the appeal. The website says that the operator has withdrawn the appeal (not quite sure how they can do that as it's my appeal but never mind!) as a gesture of goodwill.
So just wanted to thank everyone on here who gave me advice and responded very quickly to my posts and really appreciate the time the experts on here give up to help forum members.
I would encourage anyone in the early stages to take the time to read all the relevant stickies and many threads to help them keep queries to a minimum. I tried only to ask where I was unsure and couldn't find the answer after searching - there's lots of information already out there. It took me a long time (probably longer than most) to find the info and do as much as possible myself but I was conscious I might need much more support if it escalated further.
Thanks again for all your help.0 -
