Football - Match Package - Potential Mis-Sell?

Hello All,
Just wondered whether anyone has an opinion on this issue...(I will not bite to any comments regards the team!)
I purchased a 6 match package for Coventry City next season which gives me credits to redeem against 6 match tickets throughout the season. Buying the package gave me effectively 1 game free versus buying 6 individual tickets on a match by match basis and also gives some other benefits like priority ahead of general sale for away tickets.
A statement released by the club last night has closed 3 of the available blocks due to issues with 'Overcrowding' late last season. Therefore I can no longer exchange my credit for a ticket next to/near my friends. The blocks are season ticket holders only - but are also closed for any additional season ticket sales not already completed.
Had I known this at the time - I probably wouldn't have purchased the package. Therefore I'm wondering whether this classes as being mis-sold? (Bought online with CC <£100)
Issues have been highlighted by other fans also with common issues such as "..so I can no longer buy a ticket next to my son in those blocks when I decide to go up"...
(Further notes: Some of the blocks are classed as premium (& I have a standard ticket)....So 10 standard blocks have now reduced to 7...2 of which are Family Zone...and another 4 are in the opposite stand!)

When you bought it did it say
6 matches with seats in Blocks A B C D E F G
or just '6 matches'
If they specified particular blocks which you cannot now book, then yes it would be misselling. If it simply stated a ticket for 6 matches, then you still have that.0 -
Hello,
It's 6 matches within the Standard Zone seating. At the time of buying - it was 10 standard blocks - now opportunity has been limited to 7 as 3 taken off sale.
Could be a bit of a grey area though as they could turn around and say 'those blocks could sell out and you would be faced with the same situation'. The issue for me is that the opportunity to sit in those blocks has been taken away.0 -
I guess technically they are still offering that.
Any terms which say standard seating is subject to availability etc?0 -
Can you just confirm, as you wrote "Coventry City" and "Overcrowding" in the same paragraph?!?!0
-
No a perfect solution, but will they allow the people currently in that section also relocate for those 6 games?0

It's was believable up to that point.
What's the famous away team song at the Ricoh? We've got more fans than you.0 -
Thought they had moved or is that next year .0
-
Clubs often relocate fans due to safety issues, building works etc etc.
I dont see any misselling but have you asked the club if they will refund0 -
Yes..hard to believe isn't it...the matches I believe are in question the attendance just topped 50% full for one of them! The blocks in question are the only blocks that generate any atmosphere so you get a lot of people gravitate towards that section. They have claimed at times there were 3 people standing in front of 1 seat. This is despite having ticket checks at the entrance to the block.
I mailed the club but are awaiting a response.
They have since come out with a statement saying they are reviewing arrangements following feedback from fans - so I guess I'll await that final response.
They are not relocating any fans - they are seemingly happy for those blocks to be half full and not sell anymore tickets there.
JJEGAN - Extended the Ricoh deal for another season..who knows going forwards.
AndyMc....Actually..it's more like..."they're here, they're there, there every ******* where, empty seats...empty seats"!!!0 -
It all went wrong for you when you took Sammy Clingan off us0
