PPI mystery for us

I think we will be the only family not getting anything from the PPI gold rush everybody seems to get.
we had an egg card that cant located our account
we had barclaybank who cant find our record related to a loan we took 20 years ago
and all others credit cards and car loans, sofa etc who cant find any records of us!!

My friends all get ppi refund even some didnt get an egg card on her name but because her husband had one they refund to her as well!!

well done for the one who won against them....

I doubt it. You sounds as if you are in the majority who didn't have PPI.

If you have no evidence of a PPI mis sale, and the bank has no evidence of a PPI mis sale, it's a possibility that there may not have been a PPI mis sale.

I have never had PPI, my CC are always paid in full (so no PPI) and never had any loan/finance until 2014 when car dealers had largely stopped selling it.

Not at all. Most people never bought PPI and were not missold PPI.

If you have no data and they have no data, then it is game over. The periods you are looking at are long ago. Car loans and sofas would see the liaiblity with the seller (i.e. car dealer or sofa shop). They were not regulated until Jan 2005.

You are not getting the full story there. The redress payment is paid once. Not twice.

I'd say it was far more than a possibility!

Although there was a PPI mis-selling scandal which affected many many customers, the vast majority of people were (mis) sold nothing at all.

thanks for yor post and fair enough maybe we were not the only one after all!!
but barclays after two letters stating they couldnt located our record miraculously found us after 3 month and send us a cheque today...

there is no story its simple as that. she didnt have a card on her name and still got paid.
