I could, but I want to do things the right way. I guess I could of told no-one but I am not trying to play the system. I guess I am just trying to keep myself safe.

I think your best option would be to continue with homeswapper until you find something.
Even if that means post wedding you've not found a swap and you're both squashed in your current property.
Hopefully it wouldn't be for long.0 -

Sounds like the HA have made a reasonable suggestion (though it may not quite suit you). I would keep talking to them. Most HAs are more than landlords, they take on some social responsibility. Most HAs I have known are happy to help find a new place to suit new circumstances.
