I currently have a car (Car A) which is insured until september 2018. I have now took a new car (CAR B) on lease and insured it with a new insurance company compared to car A. The lease on Car B (new car) will start later on this coming week.

My question is can I still continue to use my Car A for driving, whilst Car B is on my driveway. I intend to stop using Car A after september when insurance runs out.

Theres nothing to stop you owning and using 2, 3 or 100 cars, so long as each is taxed, insured, etc.

the reason is that I want to use my old car (insured till september), for long journeys till insurance runs out. I want to use my new lease car slowly.

I just want to check I don't need to tell the insurance company for my lease car about using my old car still?

Just be mindful of your no claims bonus.

Will you be insuring the new car with zero no claims? You cannot use your no claims on both cars.

When you took out insurance one question would have been how many cars do you own/or how many cars do you have access to. This will change so you may need to inform them also.
