I live in a student flat and we handed the keys back end of May, lease ran out end of June. Our TV license still had nearly six months left on it and all three flatmates were moving back into family homes that had tv licenses so we had no need to keep ours. They have rejected our appeal for a refund and dont know what to do its a substantial amount of money to be without for no reason. We sent them proof of our lease dates but that was not enough. Does anyone have any advice/ been in the same situation?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Why did they reject it?0

12 months is the minimum. Even if you paid m0nthly, it is based on annual amount.0

Yes, but if you no longer need it, then surely a refund is due pro rata?

I would definitely advise phoning them. Their processes (especially when at the end of an inflexible web form or email) are not great.
Speaking to them will at least tell you what aspect of their vast bureaucracy is holding up your refund. My guess would be that the "evidence" you have provided does not meet their arbitrary requirements.0
