Can I have my old will back?

As GM4L has suggested. Alternatively, if you really must, make an appointment to call in to write REVOKED across the old will, then they can keep it.
You're happy they have your new will & it sounds as if they are your chosen executors, it is somewhat strange to want the old one back for some sort of ceremonial destruction. Closure of the part of your life that has led to a complete revision of your will, with the words "all previous wills revoked" (or whatever) on the new will is enough surely.Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.0 -
My previous will was lodged with my previous solicitors in England. When I returned to Scotland I had a new one drawn up.
My request to the English LLP to destroy the old will was refused as the 'don't do that'. Instead I had to write asking for the return of my will and provide confirmation that I had received it. Then I burnt it.0
