Unofficial Shared Driveway - Sell or Extend?
Comments

I think they are similar situations - one house is using access on someone else's property and the situation needs resolving one way or another.0

If the OP would like to pop up a sketch and give approximate ideas of house values then those here who have experience with easements and selling slivers of land can probably give a good guideline on a "reasonable" value to those 2 options.0
-
Forget about how much money you would lose on the extension and think about how this would affect your neighbour. If building an extension means that more people could live in your house in the future with more cars do you think your neighbour would want this? If not what do you think they would do?0
-
OP have you actually checked the deeds of both houses to see if you already have right of access over their land?0
