Transferring money euros to pounds

Hello,
I currently work in Spain and get paid into a Spanish bank account. I will be in the uk for 2 months, what would be the most cost effective way to spend/withdraw money in pounds?Transfer to a UK account? Or set up a new account somewhere with the capacity to exchange from euros to pounds? Thanks!

If its only for two months, hardly worth opening a UK bank account if you don't already have one, and transferring directly to one would be the worst option.

With your verifiable Spanish residential address you can open a Revolut account, load euros and have fee free access to your money in pounds (up to £5k/month, 0.5% fee thereafter), conversion at the perfect interbank rate (slightly off on weekends). There's a refund for the card delivery to UK if you apply via the MSE link, but that probably doesn't apply for delivery to Spain.

Alternatively you can probably have a TransferWise Borderless account and debit card as a Spanish resident, interbank rate with 0.5% fee on conversion.

If you already have a UK account, use a broker service like CurrencyFair or Transferwise to electronicll;y change Euros to GBP and then transfer it to the UK account.
