Installing showroom and toilet in alleyway

Hi,
I was wondering would it be possible to install, Showroom and toiler in a narrow alleyway? The alleyway is about 2.5 feet wide (currently in process of buying the house, in its latter stage). Length and height is no issue.
The alleyway has got everything it needs for shower and toiler. i.e. sewage pipe, boiler nearby and pipings, roof over the alleyway and solid wall at both sides.
Any thoughts?
Thanks

What's the alleyway currently used for, is it the only means of access to the rear of the property, and does anyone else have a shared right to use it?
Two and a half feet sounds very narrow to have a shower and toilet in one room - how were you thinking of positioning them relative to each other, and are you thinking of one room or two?"In the future, everyone will be rich for 15 minutes"0 -
Alleyway is currently used as storage space. No access to rear. No shared access.
Was only thinking of having one room. So enter the alleyway on left you have shower cubical and on right toilet & sink.
What is the min. width required?0 -
At this time of year it sounds ideal; but would you use it in winter. Do you have to go out of the house to access the shower room.
Is the alleway sufficiently insulated in the event of pipes freezing.Thrifty Till 50 Then Spend Till the End

The flooring and both sides of the walls are solid. So I would have thought so that it should be ok in winter. You are not really stepping out of the house as the alleyway and house are next to each other.0

Sorry to be pedantic but unless there's an internal door you will have to step outside surely. Open the rear door, get a blast of icy air , go into the alleway for a shower, the return journey you will be damp (or wet) so the blast of icy air will be even icier.
You'll also need some way of heating the new shower room, I wouldn't want to take my clothes off and get in the shower if it's approaching 0 never mind how thick the walls are.
I think you need to re-think.Thrifty Till 50 Then Spend Till the End

Do you have a link to the house sale on Rightmove so we can visualise it.Thrifty Till 50 Then Spend Till the End

Just for clarity, are you talking about an alleyway (outside, but covered) or a passageway (inside the house).
With an alleyway I would be expecting doors/openings at either end, but your comment about shower to the left and toilet to the right suggests there is a door somewhere in the middle of one long side of the alley/passageway.
As Ms Chocaholic says, a Rightmove link, or a floorplan would be helpful."In the future, everyone will be rich for 15 minutes"0 -
I assumed that the OP meant a narrow pathway between the house and another structure, possibly a fence separating the house from next door. If he was able to build onto the side of the house (and it may depend on what the structure is), then presumably a door in the wall between the house and the new shower room.
Several years ago, we had a wetroom added onto the side of our house for my disabled son. It's wider than 2.5 feet though. It's literally a small extension. A door was built in from the hall into the wetroom, in a place where there was previously an outside wall.0
