Purchased a 2nd hand car from a Renault dealer. Suggested the GEN3 paint and interior paint protection to us. Should have known better but with children bought it more in mind for the interior protection. However when collecting the car it was covered in silicone spray as the salesman said it makes it nice and shiny...........as my husband said that's b*****ks. We have a feeling that it wasn't actually applied correctly, if at all. We have dropped a droplet of water onto the seat and we assumed it would bead on the fabric as it would if a sofa was scotchguarded but the water soaked straight in plus when we asked for the certificate from the dealer they emailed a signed certificate of application which was dated as having been applied 3 days after we had collected it almost 140 miles away. Just wondering if anyone has the interior protection by GEN3 on their upholstery and whether the liquid should bead?? We have informed them that we don't think it has been applied correctly and are asking for a refund but of course they're digging their heels in and refusing. If it wasn't for the fact that we'd made a 5 hour journey on the train to collect the car which was 140 mile away we'd have left it on the forecourt to rectify first............................
