Shop Direct Frustration

Options
HELP.

Through Resolver I challenged PPI with Very/Shop Direct. Completed the forms they sent me then waited. Heard nothing backing after 8 weeks so completed forms again and sent recorded delivery. I rang the middle of May to confirm they had them which they did and advised they were looking into it. Received a letter on 13 June advising they were upholding my complaint and advised me of the amount of redresss due showing the breakdown. Letter did advise that it could take up to 21 working days for the cheque to be received. Waited patiently and when 11 July came along and no cheque received, I telephoned the number on the letter and was advised that a member of the redress team would call me within 24-48 hours. Today was 48 hours and heard nothing so I telephoned again only to be advised that they had an email from the redress team stating the cheque number and that it was printed on 19 June but needed signing off due to the amount and they didn’t know how long this would be. Adviser said Redress Team could take up to 72 hours to contact me to return my call and because they don’t work the weekend it could be Monday. Frustrated is not the word.

What else can I do????? :o:(.

Just hang on and relax. It'll come.
  • I certainly hope so, just think, why tell me it was going to take a certain amount of time and then now advise it’s going to be longer and not be able to give me a date. They’ve upheld complaint and agreed redress so can’t see the hold up. Find it very frustrating that I can’t speak to anybody else but customer service.

There's quite a rush on for PPI at the moment. The longer it takes, the more you get. They're not doing it deliberately.
  • Would the amount change even though I have been advised what is to be refunded and the cheque has been printed?

Who said the cheque has been "printed"? The longer the delay, the more additional interest will be added to the eventual total.
