Looking advice on Gazebos
My patio area is quite big and for a recent social event we borrowed a gazebo when I seen first hand how useful it could be I said ‘that’s for me!’
While it’s pretty near the end of the season I’m thinking that now might be a good opportunity to purchase. I’m after a 6x3 gazebo, a cream colour and the stronger the better. Budget max£250 max but would hope to get one for much less than that
Some of the terms confuse me Waterproof seems to be the choice. Other terms used include weather resistant and weather proof. I’m not to sure what they mean, can you advise.
I’ve been advised to watch out for what material is used and also what the frame is made from and how it is treated.
I appreciate this is a long post and only those with Gazebos will be able to give any sound advice and for this I thank you
Number one on my list at the moment is this. ONE

Whatever you buy will eventually be degraded by sun, wind and rain. Obviously a better quality option will stand up better. however, don't completely discount the cheaper options. My uncle erected a hexagonal £50 gazebo in a sheltered corner, and it stood permanently for four years before heavy snow turned the pointed roof inside out! By then, it was completely green with alge anway, but it did blend completely into the surrounding trees and actually looked quite good!
Whatever you buy, make sure it is property anchored and don't be tempted to leave it up when not in use. It doesn't take much of a breeze to send a gazebo over the neighbours fence, bending all the tubes in the process.
Personally I like the ones with optional / detachable sides all round, they are more versatile as you can use them purely for shade from above as well as fuller protection from the weather. A gazebo with three permanently fixed sides can become unbearably hot on a warm day.0 -
274 views and a whopping 1 reply. Gazebos must’t be flavour of the month around here
Seriously though I would appreciate some advice

I bought an All Seasons gazebo after doing mega research on the web. They have detachable sides. I went for premium grade (the most expensive) It has been up for 2 months no complaints. However they don't come cheap.SCP # 034

Further note. I bought the best I could afford as I intend keeping it up most of the year, excepting windy conditions. I have a neighbour, their garden has been built up so that looking into my garden he is 12 feet above me. Not having been overlooked before this was driving me crazy! I then realised his behaviour was a form of stalking, out to his bins six times an hour, starting at 07.10 in the morning (I like to read outside when I return from work) banging them to startle me. So......for me a necessary evil and worth the money, as no other reasonable way to gain privacy.
This has nothing to do with your original query but indulge me, I feel better for typing it and I DID do lots of research!SCP # 034

At the moment these are the two I’m looking at. GREENBAY and ALLSEASONS
But at almost £260 of a difference I really have to ask myself if that is value for money. However, after your reply I took another look and thought this All Seasons Gazebo looked pretty interesting. It seems to be the same as the first All Seasons one but with a lesser quality sides
You said you carried out some mega research before buying. I’m often accused of over researching, rightly so, before buying. However, be honest I’m finding it difficult to track down impartial advice. If you have any links available feel free to share or contact me via PM. Simply I went into gazebos and searched. I then looked for the quality and checked all the reviews. All seasons came out the best but if your wanting less durability, pay less.SCP # 034
