Also, my broker is asking for solicitor, we do not have any final decisions in hand yet, am I suppose to be paying to my solicitor right now? or wait for final decision on mortgage?0

I don't understand.
You can't submit an application to Halifax without solicitor details.
SA302s and Tax Calculations are the same thing. They are produced differently, that's all. If your Accountant produces them, something might not be visible, such as NI number.
That's why I suggested the Accountant letter to confirm they have produced them.
You might find this helpful, even though it's produced by Nationwide;-

we have supplied solicitor's details.. but its just that they have not started doing conveyancing yet.
Is it normal?0 -
So Mortgage broker has advised that our mortgage has been proceeded to formal offer and we, our solicitors and broker will receive letter in post from Lender in 2-3 days.
We have paid our solicitors to start doing their work and submitted all our ID's and proofs.
My questions are as below:
what is the process now?
How long does it take till completion?
Anything else can go wrong now?0 -
Your solicitor does the legal work.
Completion is a date on which the members of the chain compromise, so no-one here has any hope of speculating on it...
You apply for credit, or something else which requires a hard credit search and Halifax withdraws your mortgage offer. So no credit changes between now and completion!

Our broker has not told us about credit search criteria but we don't have anything like that plan now.
Thanks for heads up.
My question is, having final offer means halifax has done their job, meaning checking affordability and Credit and now all in hands with solicitor?0 -

If you have had a Mortgage Offer then that mean Halifax are satisfied with your situation and will lend to you so everything should move to Exchange of contract and then Completion pretty smooth.
Be aware some but not all will do another credit check just before completion so make sure you do not take any extra credit out before completion0 -
HMRC can provide SA302 and overviews. Just ring them. they get posted out 2nd class so allow a week. We have done it twice this year.0

So I just read the news today and base rate has been increased.
We have received final offer and have time to accept it till September.
At the moment as described above, solicitors are working on it.
Is there any chance Halifax can revoke this offer?0 -
Yes. But not for anything related to the rate increase.I am a mortgage broker. You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
