Used Car Dealer refused repair - my options?

Hello Folks, Just bought a 09 Fiesta Auto with 3 month warranty built in, now driving home from the dealer I got a 'Transmission Fault service now' warning message on the screen which comes and goes. A V62 and £25, then a wait while they check with the last known keeper (which probably isn't the garage, but the "real" keeper before it went into the trade), is the only way you're getting a V5C in your name.
