No reason / apology.
If DPD can provide an accurate timed forecast for delivery, why can't UPS?

Very very unusual from DPD.
They are one of the very best delivery companies in my opinion.
But I suppose every now & then things go pear shaped.0 -

Have you ever tried UPS Tracking on line - your guess is as good as mine as to where it is or might be delivered and their CS is useless.
I had a supplier send a parcel to me via UPS last Friday - didn't get collected from their hub and no updates till Monday evening. It had a ride around the country in the early hours of Tuesday but no Delivery update until after it was delivered.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -

The chances are that both of the messages that you received were automated so in all likelihood, any apology would also be the same.
IMO, is there really any point in getting a "We apologise for the delay in delivering your package" that is totally robotic and has no feeling or real remorse for the delay?0 -
You are correct, I know there is nothing one can do. It is so frustrating and I am just venting."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi
