Asking about other creditors

Part of an email I received today said ...

“We politely request that you please complete the attached income and expenditure form, showing all money going in and out of the household, as well as any commitments to other creditors.”

Do I have to list them all individually or can I just say generally “other creditor commitments - £xyz”

Thanks

It is usual to list all creditors, showing the balance outstanding and the amount you are paying (or propose to pay) each month.

To be honest they could get this information from your credit reference files. There is no reason to not provide it and it shows you are co-operating with them.

Also some creditors will get more priority than others.
Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.
  • Is there a list of what you mean?
    Just so I!!!8217;m aware.

All unsecured loans, ODs and credit cards are non-priority debts and any money you have to pay to them should be split pro-rata (assuming you are on a DMP).

An example of a priority debt is your gas / electric bill. If you are in arrears with this, then it is a priority to clear it because it could potentially be disconnected. However there are variations to this.

For example, I was in arrears with an energy supplier due to a dispute. I had already changed energy supplier and was not in arrears with my current supplier, therefore my energy arrears are not considered a priority debt and so became part of my DMP as an unsecured creditor.
