Using paypal for direct debits with lloyds and Halifax

Strictly speaking, yes, and a business account is required to accept credit card funded paypal payments when you sell on ebay, so many people do have two. So have you actually read this in Paypal's terms and conditions or are you simply engaging in idle speculation?
Yes - the t&c don't allow it, but that doesn't necessarily mean you can't have two personal accounts if it's possible to get around them e.g. simply by using two different e-mail addresses - I haven't tried so couldn't say0
