Someone I know was complaining a few months ago that a family member kept on buying build a bear teddies for her child and the child has so many they don't know what to do with them !
What pops up on 'Someone's' Facebook today ? Feet are killing me after standing in B a B queue for 5 hours !!
If only she would put the same effort into getting a job !!Decluttering, 20 mins / day Jan 2024 2/20 -

Mind you, BAB is nothing more than a complete rip off anyway ...the niece wanted an outfit for her BAB and as mum was going shopping I asked her to buy me one.
Poor mum was embarrassed to tell me how much the piece of cloth, no bigger than an hanky cost.

So she's been buying build a bears for her daughter since before the child was even born and has spent about £5k on bears and their outfits over the past 9 years or so. And this is somehow the company's fault?Signature Removed by Forum Team ..thanks to somebody reporting a witty and decades-old Kenny Everett quote as 'offensive'!!0 -
Absolutely shame on any parent who is willing to a) spend five hours waiting in a queue for a sodding teddy and b) subject their child to five hours waiting in a queue for a sodding teddy.
It's pathetic, honestly. The kids probably don't care all that much, they'd be happy with any teddy bear, and I very much doubt that many if any of them have gone crazy demanding these things; the hysteria is all on the part of the parents wanting "the best" for little Timothy and Jemima, seeing a bargain and losing all reason.
Frankly anyone with the time and inclination to spend that long queuing up for the sake of a £20 saving on a stuffed bear needs their head checking. Anyone outraged at the queues or BAB's offer needs to take a serious look at themselves in a mirror. I've tried so hard not to judge but you just have to be astonishingly stupid and/or indolent to have that much time free and to decide that that's the particular activity you're going to spend it on. And this person:"She's only five, they're not really doing much in school that's important at that age," she said.
shouldn't have kids.urs sinserly,

I have to admit that looking at Twitter yesterday, some of the comments were comedy gold.
And then when I thought about it, I couldn't help but think that this was a good idea gone boobs up pretty quickly.
Perhaps BAB wasn't expecting it to go like it did, but some of those parents needed their heads examined.
Especially these who went bleating to the papers about how 'their kids have special needs, and couldn't cope with noise, crowds and queuing up for hours'. All that just for a bit of felt & stuffing? Even if your kids don't have issues, why put them through it?
The mind boggles.BEST EVER WINS WON IN ORDER (so far) = Sony Camcorder, 32" lcd telly, micro ipod hifi, Ipod Nano, Playstation 3, Andrex Jackpup, Holiday to USA, nintendo wii, Liverpool vs Everton tickets, £250 Reward Your thirst, £500 Pepsi, p&o rotterdam trip, perfume hamper, Dr Who stamp set, steam cleaner.

"heartbroken" kids
first world problems and all that
the stupid parents shouldn't have built their hopes up, doubt the kids were reading the adverts themselves, and if some of the older ones were, why were they off school?
I never understand why the parents get their kids all worked up. A shop I used to work in was giving away goodies once but we only had limited numbers and that was made clear in the ads. We had so many kids having total meltdowns because their parents had told them about the freebie the night before and they had worked themselves up into a complete state. Why not just tell the kid they are just going to the shops and if the freebie is available tell them then?0 -
