Retierment income

I'm not keen on ITs because of their expenses and use of gearing.....the aversion to gearing is more philosophical than practical. My retirement income portfolio is a mortgage free rental property and (luckily) a DB pension backed up by eventual state pensions, a couple of years of spending in cash and a simple equity and bond tracker portfolio. The costs are low, it's simple and easy to manage and the investment portfolio has returned an annual average of 7.2% since I retired in 2014 which has been reinvested.“So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.”0
