Windows update has undone my ad blocker

Just noticed that I had cumulative update KB4338819 applied today and my Outlook email is showing ads again. I can't actually remember how I stopped them before but presumably the update has undone the blocker.
Presumably I just need to find out how I did that and reset it?

What browser do you use? (I'm presuming you're meaning the online version of Outlook).0

I'm using Chrome. Yes the online version of Outlook. Now you mention it, perhaps I had something set up in chrome. Must look at that later, when back home.0

OK, I've sorted this. I discovered I'd been using 'AdBlock' as a Chrome extension. This was still installed and turned on, so I turned it off then on again, refreshed my Outlook tab and the ads were gone! Horrah.0

A lot of people have become disenchanted with Adblock (possible spyware-type activities? Also uses a lot of PC resources) and have switched to uBlock.0

Correct - that's what I meant.0

It's a bit more techie, but I prefer Pi-Hole myself.
Worth a look if you have a spare raspberry pi sitting gather dust, as it blocks junk (malware and phishing sites as well as ads) at the DNS level and isn't limited to a web browser, ie it can block in-app ads on mobiles and tablets.0
