Could anyone tell me exactly what the rules are for Plevin on mortgage PPI please? I've searched the forum and had a look through the FCA website and handbook but found contradictory info so now am confused!
Nationwide Building Society stated in their response to my query regarding the percentage of commission on my mortgage PPI that the policy is outside the scope of the FCA's rules and guidance for non-disclosure of of PPI commission but didn't say why.
The PPI policy was taken out in 2002 and is still active and the mortgage prior to that. From what I could deduce, the applicable dates are for mortgages sold on or before 31st October 2004 and still open on 6th April 2008?

Your case should be placed on hold pending a new FCA consultation that has just started. The FCA have said date of sale on regular premium PPI should not be the only measure and if it is still in force, it should be considered. The consultation is for 3 months and Nationwide shouldnt be rejecting your complaint but placing it on hold.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
