BT.COM redcare service!

Could some one explain the following as i have not a clue what it means.

Redcare is a specialised BT alarm system that contacts the emergency services using a telephone line based signal. In some cases broadband may interfere with this signal so we recommend that you contact BT to have this alarm service removed. Please note, this is a very specialised alarm product and TalkTalk broadband is compatible with all other home alarm systems.

Basically if you use BT Redcare then you cant have broadband on that line.

If you want broadband on a line that has BT Redcare then you need to get the Redcare service removed :)

Well do you have a security alarm at your house? If so then you might have a Redcare service on your line.
BT redcare is a developer of software used to remotely monitor a variety of electronic systems. The company's products include applications for keeping tabs on the status of security and fire alarms (redcare), vending machines (vendonline), refrigeration and temperature control systems (coldcall), and closed-circuit video transmissions (rs 1000). BT redcare targets customers in industries that have need for tools to enable remote asset and facilities management

Thank you all for the replies. I have an alarm system but have no recollection of asking for a redcare service. Do you have to pay for this service.
    Thanks again.
