Can I claim PPI?

Options
I'm a newbie so apologies if I'm posting in the wrong place.

I have no idea if I can claim or how far back it goes, or whether I need paperwork (which i don't have). I have never done anything about claiming before as I don't have the paperwork and can't remember the details and it was so long ago.

I was "eligible" for an upgraded bank account with NatWest from a normal current account to Advantage Gold but it was way back in the late 1990s. I paid a fee each month for a bunch of stuff that I didn't use (I'm hazy on whether I ever used the mobile phone insurance though). Then in and around 2000, I enquired about a loan from NatWest and they told me I needed to shift to a different account in order to avail of the loan. Again, I'm hazy on details.

Is there anything I can do or should I just leave things be?

Thank you!
