So heres the low down , I already have life insurance in place that was set up before my abnormal smear. So it is not a pre existing condition.
I now need new life insurance as I have moved house and need to increase my decreasing insurance .
Does anyone know of a insurance company who actually understand an abnormal smear is not cancer.

Did you have another smear? Was it clear?
Keep you current policy. Do NOT cancel it, certainly not yet.
It may be cheaper to have two, one for the additional you need.0 -

If you've been left on normal 3-yearly smears then I don't think it'd be a massive problem, although most companies would want a GP report, however, there might be an easier alternative. Your existing cover might have "guaranteed insurability options". If these are included, and they often are, you might be able to increase the level of cover without actually having to re-apply. Typically this would only be viable if the mortgage term is the same and it's just the amount borrowed which has increased.0
