That doesn't sound right at all.
    Why?
Because the Ts & Cs of the card are quite explicit about this, as per https://www.santander.co.uk/uk/credit-cards/zero-credit-card:
With the Zero Credit Card, we won't charge you a cash withdrawal fee, giving you peace of mind if you do need to use it for emergencies. However, it's important to remember that interest is charged on cash withdrawals and is charged immediately so there's no interest free period.

Not if you don't pay interest on them.

    See above.

Well, you didn't answer the query about a positive balance. That would be one reason why you might not have paid interest.

Else sounds to me like a rare mistake in generating the bill.

Have you made any other ATM withdrawals on Zero and not paid interest?

Anyone else getting interest free ATM withdrawals on Zero?

I never have a positive balance on a credit card, that defeats the purpose of having a credit card.

Not if the intent is to avoid interest. Also positive balances can arise through refunds.

Again, apart from your experience in Aug 2017 in Poland, have you had other experiences of not being charged interest having made ATM withdrawals?

No, last foreign holiday I had was in Sweden and I never needed cash there.

Even paid to go to the toilet with my credit card, 10sek £0.85.

At least it was clean unlike a public toilet I went to which was a disgrace.
