How long can they make us wait?

My other half contacted his credit card company in October last year and we are still being told to wait for a decision??
We have tried constant calling but just get told here’s no point in ringing because they cannot tell us anything.
He knows he paid PPI, they haven’t confirmed this in writing and are just saying they have a lot of files to get through?!? Is this fair??

it isnt a case about fairness. Its about finding the available evidence. Remember it wasnt that long ago that people were waiting 2-3 years.

Nowadays, for a complaint to take as long as yours suggests they have no immediate information but think there may be some in the archives. OR that they had you down to be rejected but had you on hold pending the Plevin consultation being completed. There is a still a backlog on many of those.

And of course, everyone that phones in makes all the decisions slower as the people are busy answering phones instead of looking at cases.
