PayPal fee selling on shpock

Ok, so my wife has sold 2 items recently on shpock and payment was made through PayPal.
On each occasion the payment made to PayPal has a fee (accepted) but the final.paument is missing another unaccounted for 50p.
For example item sold for £5.00 plus £3.50 postage.
Buyer sends £8.50
PayPal deduct 49p charge shown. (£8.01 left credited you would think), however,
Payment into PayPal account totals £7.51.
So my question is where has the other 50p gone with no explanation?
This has happened on the last 2 occasions with no reason visible.
Searched online and found no answer.
Can anyone explain??
Is this a PayPal thing or a shpock thing?

If you sign up for paypal via Shpock they charge you a handling fee, I noticed that when I looked into signing up and decided not to link my paypal to Shpock. It isn't hidden, it's there on about the first sign up page for paypal where it asks you to confirm you want to go ahead. I use Shpock a lot, several sales a week but when people ask to use paypal I do it direct , I just accept their offer and send them my paypal ID to pay direct. By using paypal normally Ijust pay the normal paypal charge and nothing to Shpock.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. It's best not to link your SHpock account to PayPal but to deal direct with your buyers.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
