I recently sent a £280 phone back to game, as it had stopped functioning. It was sent to a freepost address supplied by game, and I was told by the staff of the post office that I could not get proof of postage for a freepost delivery. Furthermore, I was not provided with any form of receipt, which I only learnt about afterwards.
The phone should reasonably have arrived already, but has not. Although the situation is not yet necessarily at it's worst, I'm obviously concerned. What can I do?
(Also, sorry if this is the wrong place to post about this. I came upon a somewhat similar thread and thought this would be my best bet for advice)

You can get POP to a freepost address, you have been misled by the post office if they did indeed say that. You should also have had a receipt.
If you are sending something of that value I'd have gone with special delivery for around £6-8. Normal post is only insured up to £20.
If it doesnt show up Im not sure what you expect Game to do. You could still have it. You could have posted it into a bin. You have no proof of anything.0 -
I'm aware I'm unable to get anything from game as recompense, I'm more curious as to whether there are any possible avenues I can take to find my parcel, through the post office or otherwise. Like I say, the post office didn't provide any receipt and lied about the availability of proof of postage. If that's that, I can accept it, but I wanted to be sure there's no possible way I could find it.0
