my windows 3G tablet is getting old, please recommend

i have an older windows lenovo TP8, 4 gigs ram and 128 rom, SD card. i can do all my work with it and go online and phone via skype etc. has anybody got experience in using a more modern tablet, must have sim slot and min 6-8 hrs battery life. my present battery in the TP8 is getting worse and it can not be replaced.
