Savills can cancel this and I think you should email them and if this is harassing you when you are receiving ongoing medical treatment then tell Savills how distressing and unnecessary this hounding is (you do not need to know who owns the place - it isn't Savills but if they run it then they can cancel the parking charge if TPS still infest it).  Savills' email address will appear with a contact name, on any retail commercial unit advert you find when you Google the name of the retail park. There are always retail/commercial results.

Were you suffering from any long-term debilitating condition when you allegedly 'overstayed'?  If so, it's illegal for a retail park to restrict you to the same hour's free parking that able bodied people have.  It's a breach of the Equality Act 2010.  Tell Savills that...if you did have a condition that in any way slowed you down when shopping.

Apart from that, this is your LBC (proper one) so do as the NEWBIES thread tells you and get a SAR from Tito at TPS and tell BW to do one.

  • Thanks Coupon-mad for the tip about Savills.  I am still struggling to find the correct contact details but will keep trying.

So, you'll never guess what, after ALL this I have had word, from Savills, that the charge has been cancelled.  Woohoo

I had tried to contact Savills before, but never got a reply.  I did some googling and found that Morgan Williams had something to do with the site.  A lady there forwarded my email to Quadrant Estates, who in turn forwarded to a suitable person at Savills.  Finally!  That lady contacted TPS unbeknown to me and simply sent me their email response saying it has been cancelled.  I may write and ask them for confirmation myself...unsure.  She said, and of course, this is the point, that "the charges are not meant to penalise genuine shoppers, they are to prevent abuse of the car park by office workers and car sharing commuters".

My email to Morgan Williams was very simple and as follows:

I have been sent demands for a Parking Charge Notice from 2018 in relation to the car park at the above site and I seek the landowners help to have it cancelled.

Please let me know who I can contact or what details you need to assist, I include the basics below.

I anxiously await your reply and thank you in anticipation.

Thank you Coupon-mad and others for your direction all this time, if there is any other detail I can provide to help others please just ask.

Well done a monkey Tito off your back! 🥂
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Nicely done and of course we believe it.  This almost always works, and Savills cancel shedloads.

Please can you remind us of which car park this was and the email of the person who is in charge of cancelling the PCNs, to help others?

Secondly, please give a summary of your success and a link to this thread, in the thread called 'SUCCESSFUL COMPLAINTS ABOUT PPCS' one of the very first links in the NEWBIES thread where we talk about complaining to the landowner being 'PLAN A'.

Its The Place Retail Park, Elder Gate, Milton Keynes.
This is the email of the person who contacted me saying it had been cancelled in the end
    BTurner@savills.com
Finally, I am inexperienced in posting links to threads so before i go ahead and do the post you request can you confirm it is simple as copying the web address and pasting, as below?

    Yep that works.

If you could go to the Successful Complaints thread and post a synopsis of what happened, the location, and who to contact to cancel PCNs, plus a link to this thread so poeple can read the full story, that really helps people in the same predicament. Especially as it took you ages to find the right email contact was BTurner@savills.com

    Well done!
