Hello, for the last few years I have used the free kasperskysecurity package supplied by Barclays. Unfortunately my computer was corrupted and I had to wipe the hard drive and restore it using the hp restore to factory settings tool. All my documents etc. are on a portable hard drive and stored using the kaspersky back up and restore tool. My subscription to kaspersky was due to run out and normally I would reload it onto my pc for the remainder of my subscription, but I have mislaid my log in details. I am struggling to restore the data backed up using kaspersky. Can anyone advise me as to whether I need the actual program that I used to do the backup in order to restore all my documents and photographs.

Sorry - not familiar with Kaspersky Total Security, but have you tried the free trial? Wouldn't hurt...

I assume you've tried to find your licence at MyKaspersky?

thanks for the prompt response. I have tried to gain access using MyKaspersky but I must have changed my login details at my last renewal because it is coming up with my 2016 membership and inviting me to purchase another years cover. The back up data on my external hard drive that I am trying to access is encrypted and I have searched for a program to read it but failed miserably.0 -
What web browser do you normally use?
If you use Chrome then it may have saved your other login details against your Gmail account. (i.e. you could look at Password settings in Chrome).
