Renewing a blue badge

Does anyone have recent experience of renewing a blue badge? My husband is getting worried about his renewal.

At the end of an unhelpful renewal form from Harrow, it asks if you get DLA (which he does, at the high rate for mobility and care). It then asks whether he scores 8 points for PIP.

You would think, in this day and age, that answering 'yes' to the DLA questions would simply remove the PIP questions from the form. But it doesn't, and DH is terrified that if he says 'NO' to the 8 points for PIP he will lose his blue badge. He would clearly score at least 8 points for mobility (unless he got a rubbish assessor, of course :) ) But does anyone know if answering 'yes' to the DLA questions means that the PIP questions aren't looked at?

I'd try not to worry and if there's any opportunity to add free-text make a comment that as you receive DLA the PIP question is irrelevant. If he's very worried he could also find the email address of the office it goes to at teh council to clarify - they're probably well aware of the form's problems

A lot of the DWP and council forms are as clear as mud especially about what to do when a section doesn't apply. Our local council tax one starts off asking about UC but half way through the form onwards theres no mention of UC and it's all about ESA and JSA

Lots of councils make it sound as if you need to get DLA/PIP to get a blue badge - you don't.

Similar problem here! certificate says 8 points awarded 2016 to 2020 inclusive, yet they want proof! I rang to say the certificate has been included, but they now want a certificate dated this year! brain cells not joining up I think. Means now I have to ring dwp, wait for another certificate, then send in the form again!!
    Loving the sunny days!
