Printer problem

Hello techie's
I have an Epson SX445W printer which will not print:(
The problem I think is the black cartridge, I have checked ink, cleaned nozzles, but still getting just black lines instead of text. It did work on colour for a while (omitting bar codes and the squiggly square thing on boarding passes)now kaput!
Just thought I would ask before I take it to be recycled.

Look for your model and find updates to Drivers, ask questions about your problem. Or delve into the software of your printer, try to print a Test Page and see if there is something like an Alignment and/or Print head Cleaning feature.


EDIT: on the Support page, open Product Software and click the top (latest) Software Updater.



Are you using compatible or genuine cartridges? Some printers balk at compat's, often it takes some time of using them before problems occur.
