Wireless keyboard for Smart TV

Hello all,

I need some help because I feel blinded by science!

I have a Sony TV 65XE8596 smart TV and I want to buy a wireless keyboard to work with it. Will a cheapie from Amazon or Ebay work or do I have to get one from Sony?

Apparently the older Sony TVs did not work with any other make but one person on their forum said they plugged in a cheapie bog standard one and it worked perfectly. I bought the TV last October.

If I'm reading the specifications correctly it should work just fine with a generic Bluetooth model:

It will work fine with any keyboard, i would recommend the logitech keyboard that has the built in mouse for ease of use

We have one. I thought it would be a useful complement to the TV.

Probably used it twice in five years.

Yep, mine is in the cupboard, has been for 3 years I think.
