Sports Direct Voucher Warning

Sports Direct offer a £5 voucher if goods are delivered to a store, (I thought click and collect). They still charge £4.99 postage for this privilege, the same as having it delivered to your address.
My parcel was delivered to Matalan for collection, the local Sports Direct store was not a given option.
Guess what? No voucher! Customer Services say it's because that was the option I chose. There was not option on line unless they've hidden it in the small print somewhere so BE WARNED AND DON'T MISS OUT LIKE I DID:(

You had the parcel delivered to Matalan, you only get a voucher if you order to a sports direct store.
This is stated on the delivery page where you are presented with three options:-
1) delivery to an address
2) deliver to a Hermes parcel shop (which you did)
3) deliver to a sports direct store (where in big letters it says you will get a £5 voucher)
It has always been quite straightforward.0 -
Sorry OP but you don't have a case here since it is 100% clearly labbeled to get the voucher your order needs to be delivered to a SD store for you to collect.0

It's the old story about making assumptions0 -
Just to highlight one point of the OP's post. Sometimes Sports Direct don't allow your local store to be a Click & Collect option - Farnborough isn't.
So I too might be a little peeved to have missed out on a voucher because I couldn't pick up from my local store.0 -

It may also depend on what product you are trying to buy. Some products may not be able to be delivered to certain sports direct stores due to store restrictions on the size of the product.0 -
slightly OT but does anyone know how long the £5 voucher is valid for, and are there any restrictions with it?0

I think my voucher was valid for 2 years!0

Sorry to hijack this thread, but something else which came up with this offer and thought may be worth mentioning. The prices online, at least for the products I checked is actually £5 less than in store, meaning my £5 store voucher is kind of meaningless anyway.
I haven't compared any other products but seems very strange and misleading. I guess it could be an isolated case for this store only (Westfield London) or a mistake? but worth thinking about if you do have the voucher.
I only realised when i checked on their website (I was looking for reviews at the time).0
