Equifax errors - oops it's me!

Hi!
I'm really concerned by my recent dealings with Equifax. I applied for statutory report a few months ago. I received a report with my middle name as my surname and the report seemed to be a 1/3 of the length of previous ones. I wrote a complaint and then heard nothing until a second report was received - this time addressed to my address but with another name as the report subject. Someone who has never lived at my address, but all the data was about me. I wrote a complaint letter again. I received an acknowledgement/holding letter which summarised my complaint incorrectly and misspelt my address.
I plan to write another letter of complaint, but wondered what others would do, or whether anyone has experienced something similar.

As per the Equifax complaints service, which I found on google in 3 seconds, if you are unhappy with their complaint response then you can escalate to the FOS

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Have you tried contacting their customer services either by phone or their online portal?
My experience was they did their job, though took some time.

    ywlgy : yes
    Nasqueron: yes - prior
    Update:
Finally received a letter from Equifax and offer of a substantial sum (will confirm when I have it my hands)..
Though they apologised for the errors. and promised training was in place, I noted that when I finally received a full report, there were still errors such as my Bank of Scotland accounts listed as Halifax accounts. No other Credit Agency report has done so so I assume it is another error. :(

Halifax operates as a trading division of Bank of Scotland, which in turn is a wholly owned subsidiary of Lloyds Banking Group :)
I work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.

    I love my job

Thanks, but I am aware of that fact, Willing2Lea.... My point is that none of the various Credit Reference agencies I used have done this. When I first looked at the report I thought someone had opened another Halifax account in my name, and then realised all were my BoS accounts. If they had been described as HBOS that would have been more helpful than describing BoS as Halifax. Having accounts with all it is unhelpful and misleading at present.

    The complaint process works.
