Custom glass order

So I invited a custom door guy into my house to quote on putting a cat flap in the back door. He would need to replace both sides of the glass panels in the door.
He said he could do it and it would be ready 'next week'. Next week came and went and I messaged 13 days after the original order saying I wanted to cancel.
He now says it's miraculously ready and can fit it 'next week'.
I have not paid him anything, but wondering what my rights are to cancel considering it's a custom order? I haven't signed anything and have no paperwork at all, this was all done verbally.
Any help would be appreciated
