    The only way that you could possibly know for a fact that DIYers never tighten the screws correctly is if you have examined every single screw tightened by a DIYer.
    Have you done this? or are you just scaremongering again?

    I am simply stating facts. DIY electrical work is always crap, as is electrical work carried out by plumbers and kitchen fitters etc.

    I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for a straight answer to the question you asked.
    As far as Risteard is concerned, the only people who should ever do household electrical work of any kind are professional electricians and seeing as he is an electrician himself, his POV is hardly unbiased.

    Risteard, if changing a wall socket, switch or 3 pin plug is so dangerous, why have the powers that be deemed it okay for competent, non qualified people to replace them provided that this is done in their own properties?
